British Council is organising Science for All Talks in six different cities focusing on different popular science subjects from April onwards.
Big Data and Health - 28 April - İstanbul Modern
The talk provided by the UK expert, Prof Dr Peter Bath, will aim to shed light on the importance of big data on healthcare and the quality of people’s lives with a specific focus on the UK and Turkish experience.
What is Big Data?
Big data is term used to describe the availability of “data” (structured/unstructured) that has the potential to be mined for information. In technology of today, Big data may be as important to business – and society – as the Internet has become.
Healthcare organisations are leveraging big data technology to capture all of the information about a patient to get a more complete view for insight into care coordination, population health management, and patient engagement .
