UK-Turkey Higher Education and Industry Partnership Programme is developed by British Council to support the Knowledge Partnership Initiative between the UK and Turkey. 

The programme focuses on education and science exchange and building capacity for industry collaboration with HE and research in Turkey through collaborative partnerships and shared learning with the UK.

For this programme, British Council has allocated a research partnership fund for joint research proposals from UK and Turkish Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) with demonstrable links into industry and to share the expertise of both nations. It is aimed to increase higher education and scientific research links; and to help developing industry involved projects in the following fields:

  • Agriculture
  • Energy
  • Food Security
  • Health
  • ICT
  • Financial Services
  • Sustainable Development and Environment

During the programme period 2012-2014, 22 successful projects are delivered to engage academia and industry with great success.

These joint projects covered areas from building a better environment to mobile learning, emotional life of mobile phones to the world of nano-materials and more.

All the projects have been brought together in a print publication and electronic version of the booklet is available as well..
