UK Alumni Video Blog - Cengiz Bozkurt

Cengiz received a BA in Media and Communication from Goldsmiths, University of London and previously studied physics at the Middle East Technical University. 

Having developed an interest in theatre while in Turkey, Cengiz moved to London and continued to act on stage as well as create a number of documentaries and short films. He also co-founded Arcola Theatre in 2000 in East London with Mehmet Ergen.  

After moving back to Turkey and having success in theatre, Cengiz shifted focus towards both film and television programmes. He has worked on the hit show Leyla ile Mecnun, and has received several awards.
