Naz Zeynep Atay

Professor Naz Zeynep Atay completed her high school education in 1980 at Robert College in Istanbul. She earned a BSc in Chemistry in 1983 and completed her PhD in Physical Chemistry in the UK at the University of Kent in Canterbury in 1987.

Atay began her academic career at Boğaziçi University as Assistant Professor of Chemistry in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. She became an Associate Professor in 1992 was promoted to Professor in 2000.

Atay’s research interests are about surface chemistry. She has served as Director of Student Affairs, Coordinator of Summer School, and Dean of Student Affairs at Boğaziçi University, where she is currently the Director of the School of Foreign Languages.
