This workshop is an exclusive opportunity for UK alumni to experience a job interview with senior Human Resources (HR) leaders and ask them questions. It would also be an excellent opportunity for participants to meet their peers and connect with other UK alumni.

A senior HR leader from the British Council and an HR consultant will offer mock interviews to showcase best practices for successful interviews and give feedback to participants on their performances. HR leaders will also offer specific tips based on the job preferences of alumni. The training will help UK alumni - especially those at an early stage of their careers in any professional area - to understand the expectations of employers and develop the soft skills they may need in their careers. 

Limited places are available. Priority will be given to UK alumni with fewer years of formal job experience who will be looking for a job (You will be asked to state your work experience in the registration form). 

The HR leaders who will deliver the workshop are;

Sercim Ayyıldız – Regional Resourcing Partner, UK/EU/Wider Europe

Sercim Ayyıldız has been working at the British Council as a Regional Resourcing Partner, UK/EU/Wider Europe since October 2021.

Before joining the British Council, she was leading the recruitment and employer branding team in Ernst & Young Turkey for three years. She started her career in Accenture Turkey in 2011 and worked there over six years and headed technology recruitment and employer branding activities. She specialised in end-to-end recruitment/employer branding strategy, stakeholder management, competency-based interview training, talent assessments, HR systems, HR analytics, employee engagement, HR career advisory and recruitment audits.

Sercim has a bachelor’s degree from Istanbul University, Communication Faculty, Journalism department.

Seher Sayman, UK alumna, HR Consultant, Coach, Facilitator

After graduating from the Political Science and International Relations Department, Seher Sayman was awarded the degree of Master of Arts in European Studies at King’s College with full scholarship. As an experienced Human Resources professional with ten years of knowledge and experience, she now headed her professional career in the learning and development of organisations and individuals.

Now, Seher is dedicated to helping organisations and individuals enact positive change and navigate complex challenges in a dynamic, ever-changing world as a consultant.  Her experience stretches from providing leadership/executive coaching to leading strategic planning, organisational planning, leadership/workforce development activities and change management efforts.
