Academic Teaching Excellence

The British Council has worked in partnership with the University of Oxford, to create a course for university lecturers and other academic teachers. Academic Teaching Excellence: English as Medium of Instruction (ATE) combines innovative teaching methodology and linguistic practice to enhance the quality of teaching in higher education. It also provides a framework for institutions to enhance the teaching quality of courses taught in English.

The programme is delivered by experienced British Council trainers who have been taught and approved by the University of Oxford.

The course can be tailored to the needs of learners and may vary from between three and five days. The overall of the programme depends on the modules, duration and number of participants on the course. For groups of 12-20 participants, costs vary from £5,000 to £12,000 per course.
