Exploring English, skills and employability: Industry, alumni and academia - Özyeğin University
The aim of this one day conference is to discuss the recommendations of The State of English in Higher Education in Turkey with key stakeholders from industry, academia, and alumni to come up with a set of recommendations on how these actors can collaborate to enhance the English proficiency and employability skills of university graduates.

Intended outcomes of the day
The output will be a set of recommendations, generated at the event and through a digital survey, which will be presented to relevant stakeholders such as YÖK, universities, TÜSİAD academy and other parties detailing how employers and the industry can inform the HE sector to increase graduates’ employability skills and to inform the English Curriculum at tertiary level.
Other possible outcomes include, the formation of a UK – Turkey task force with representatives from industry, YÖK, and academia to work on the areas identified during and after the event.
