Designed as part of Accessible Film Festival, Mural Ankara is going to be held between 26-29 September 2019.
Aiming to find a representation and expression space for the problems experienced by disabled women in the city, the mural event will bring together three mural artists and three disabled rights activists in Ankara. The artists Friz (Belfast), Ekin Kılıç Ezer (Ankara) and Yeşim Paktin (İstanbul) and activists Beyza Ünal, Elif Gamze Bozo and Fatma Köseoğlu Güldal will come together to discuss the problems that disabled women often encounter in their daily lives. Then each artist will create a mural idea based on what was discussed at this meeting and apply their sketches on three different walls in Çankaya region.

This collaboration with Accessibility Film Festival, which is co-directed by one of our women leaders of the Women and Leadership in Arts and Culture Programme, Ezgi Yalınalp, and festival’s parallel event Mural Ankara have both been initiated and supported by our #WomenPowerinCulture Programme.
