Film Programme: My Way - Gender and Identity in British Cinema - 27 May/28 June

Together with British Council, Pera Film presents its season finale My Way: Gender and Identity in British Cinema in the context of Grayson Perry: Small Differences exhibition. The selected British productions of fiction and documentary films journey through unique stories of gender, identity, as well as eclectic and subjective experiences. 

Screenings are free of admissions. Drop in.

Education Programme: Grayson Perry - Yesterday Inspires Today - 16 May/12 July

Between May 16 and July 12, Pera Education will organise the 'Yesterday Inspires Today' education programme as part of Grayson Perry: Small Differences exhibition one of the most unconventional and iconic names of contemporary art. 
As part of the 'Yesterday Inspires Today' education program designed for age groups 4-6 and 7-14, participants will first visit the exhibition with their instructors, and then participate in different projects using various media and techniques at the workshop.

Education Programme: Mini-Vase - 30 May and 11 July

Based on Grayson Perry’s freely painted ceramic vases in the Grayson Perry "Small Differences” exhibition, the workshop allows participants to create their memorabilia by using underglaze paint on ceramic vases. After the illustrations are applied to the biscuit vases, they are glazed and kiln-fired.
Their works will be given to participants a few days after the workshop.

Gallery Talk: Jacky Klein - Tapestry, Taste and Teddy Bears: Uncovering the World of Grayson Perry - 11 June

Jacky Klein, art historian and writer, will give a talk on the artistic practice of Grayson Perry. Klein, who contributed to the exhibition catalogue with a special interview with Perry, will be talking about key works of the artist throughout his career and particularly looking at some of the recurring themes in Perry's work, from religion and class to gender and consumerism.
Jacky Klein is an art historian, writer and publisher. She worked as a curator at the Tate, Barbican, Courtauld and Hayward galleries in London, before moving into art publishing, as Commissioning Editor at Thames & Hudson and Phaidon Press, and now as Executive Editor at Tate Publishing. Her own books include the first complete monograph on Grayson Perry (Thames & Hudson, 2009; revised and expanded 2013), and What is Contemporary Art? A Children's Guide(2012). She is also an occasional reporter for radio, makes short films and lectures on modern and contemporary art.
