The “Our Shared Europe” project competition organized by the British Council and Ministry for EU Affairs; which aims to inform students on concepts “Being European”, “EU Accession Process”, Turkey’s Advantages on EU Membership” is completed. The winning competitors received their prizes from Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu - The Minister for EU Affairs and Head Negotiator and British Council Turkey Deputy Director Chloe Ewing on June 26th, 2014 in Turkish Grand National Assembly Building.
30 projects from 170 universities were judged for the competition. The winner is Cansu Erbaş from Boğaziçi University with her Project “My School, My Europe”, first runner up is Sezen Tüfekçi from Kapadokya Vocational Collegiate School with her project “EU’s Approach on Violation of Children’s Rights” and Arzu Başkan from Istanbul Technical University is the second runner up with her project “Tree of Europe”.
The winners were awarded with 10.000 TL grants to implement their projects and total prize money of 7.500 TL were split between 3 winners. The winning projects will be broadcast by TRT School channel in “Campus Actual” programme.
