The Moving Museum

The British Council has been cooperating with artistic partners to present British artists, curators, academicians and theoreticians, and to establish strong cultural connections between Turkey and the UK. 

Within this framework, the British Council contributed to the Istanbul exhibition of The Moving Museum at the Sishane Otopark from 28 October to 14 December 2014. 

Arts Education Panel

British Council contributed to the “Arts Education” panel that was held on 22 October at SALT Galata. The panel hosted Felicity Allen, the London-based artist, educator and writer as a moderator, İnci Eviner, the acclaimed contemporary artist from Turkey, and Antony Hudek, the deputy director of the contemporary art exhibition centre, Raven Row in London. Jeremy Silver at the Interactive Marketing Summit 2014

We hosted Jeremy Silver who is one of the digital industry pioneers in the UK at the Interactive Marketing Summit organised by Marketing Türkiye in Istanbul on 11 September 2014. The Summit aimed to tackle the big ideas shaping the future of the digital marketing and raised awareness about global trends. Learn the details.

25th Ankara International Film Festival - June 2014

Directed by Richard Attenborough, Oh! What A Lovely War was shown at the 25th Ankara International Film Festival in collaboration with the British Council. Produced in 1969, the film won the BAFTA Best Supporting Actor, Best Art Direction, Best Cinematography, Best Costume Design and Best Soundtrack awards in the same year. The film was shown in Ankara on June 11 and 13 at Ankara Büyülü Fener theatre.

17th International Ankara Jazz Festival – May 2014

Having long been committed to building a cultural dialogue and trust between Turkey and the UK through its collaborations with Turkish art organizations and artists, as well as the creative projects it has launched, the British Council has collaborated with the 17th International Ankara Jazz Festival this year.
