The International Literature Showcase (ILS) is an online showcase of contemporary British Literature. Launching on 17 October 2016, the ILS is an interactive platform for international literature professionals to meet online, share insights and collaborate.

This new online space will feature 80 of the most exciting and talented UK writers and 25 of the most innovative UK literature organisations, enabling them to connect with international literature professionals, creatives, publishers, agents, translators and producers. The space will also cater for general arts audiences who want to see, read and learn more about contemporary British literature.

The showcase will be complimented by a 10 month programme of online events including talks and performances, virtual workshops, panel discussions, podcasts and editorials around international creative exchange in the literature sector. The programme will launch on 17 October 2016, when the first 40 authors and 25 organisations are announced, followed by a series of online events with Pat Barker, Liz Berry, Malorie Blackman, Sebastian Faulks, Jackie Kay, Michael Morpurgo and Benjamin Zephaniah.

To get involved, visit the ILS website, where literature professionals can also register as a delegate to receive updates, access exclusive content and be invited to participate in programmes around their areas of interest.

The ILS is curated by Writers’ Centre Norwich with the support of the British Council.
