Stories for Schools is a series of 12 stories on themes of interest to Turkish young learners to serve as ideal classroom or homework material.
The story kits are aimed at ELT teachers and students between the grades 6 to 12.
Well-known writers Sevim Ak from Turkey and Sophie Smiley and Guy Bass from the UK have produced the stories. The resource kits for the stories have been designed by teachers/teacher trainers Aylin Koyalan, Merve Oflaz and Özge Karaoğlu.
The stories and accompanying resources kits can be used as additional materials for English classes. The story kits support learning of English language skills including writing, grammar, speaking and reading in a fun and enjoyable way.
Each story forms part of a ‘kit’ which also includes downloadable activities based on the story for students to complete either in class or at home. The kits also include detailed notes for the teachers to support them in exploiting the materials.
