The University of Kent

1. The University of Kent was awarded Gold, the highest rating, in the UK Government’s Teaching Excellence Framework. Only seven Russell Group institutions, including Oxford and Cambridge, achieved Gold.
2. The University of Kent’s Royal Charter was granted in 1965.

7. Kent’s graduation ceremonies take place in the historic cathedrals of Canterbury and Rochester.

9. Kent’s Canterbury campus has its own cinema.

Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, the BAFTA-nominated screenwriters of the James Bond films Spectre, Casino Royale, Skyfall, Die Another Day and The World Is Not Enough, are both University of Kent alumni. Oscar nominee and BAFTA and Emmy award-winning actor Tom Wilkinson (OBE) and singer and songwriter Ellie Goulding are University of Kent alumnus.
