Creative Industries Focus Country Turkey

Turkey is one of the world’s fastest growing economies and its growing role as an economic centre highlights the importance of culture and innovation and spurs the development of cultural industries. 

According to UNDP’S Creative Economy report, among the developing countries, Turkey is one of the top three performers in exporting creative services including Art & Crafts, Publishing, Performing Arts and Visual Arts. 

Our creative economy team in the UK work in most places but focus on a few priority countries each year. 

This year Turkey has been identified as a focus country. 

Working with partners in Turkey and the UK, we will build capacity at the individual, community, institution and policy levels to support business development, technological innovation and improved social and economic well-being for a more resilient, sustainable and innovative creative economy prepared for the future.
